ABOUT YOU

• You have the ability to clearly convey ideas and problems/challenges to different stakeholders inside and outside your organisation.
• You have strong Python knowledge and have experience with a related framework (we are using FastAPI)
• You are very familiar with relational databases (we are using PostgreSQL)
• You have experience designing and implementing complex software architecture.
• You can build future-proof, sustainable and versatile code with relevant test coverage.
• You are confident in analysing code, requirements, system risks, and software reliability.
• You are articulative and have strong interpersonal skills.
• You are knowledgeable, focused and self-directed.

A valid work permit is required for applicants who are not EU Citizens.

BONUS

• You have some experience with PHP/Cassandra (our current stack, which we are migrating from)
• You are familiar with DevOps
• You have experience with Google Cloud Platform and Terraform

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a part of our growing technical team you will be responsible for the migration of our backend to a new stack and for the development of new features. Naturally your input will also be key when choosing what to prioritise and what stack and tools we should be using to reach our goals.

Additionally, we expect you to be responsible for:

• Good documentation of our systems and processes, to ensure that onboarding new developers is as smooth as you would dream it for yourself
• Our system’s security and reliability. We hope that you know about best practices to follow to write clean, scalable code.
